REF,IARKS la Between 9:30 a.m. and 11:30.a.m. on 10 July 1953, the following aircraft were observed at Wiener Neustadt (0 48/X 34) airfield: 30 MiG-15s, including 21 near the flight control' station and 7'west of Badener Strasser 1 10 Pe-2s at the northeastern corner of the pyrotechnic plant; and 5 single-engine planes with radial engines, include ng 3 near the, flight control station, 1 near Badener 5trasse. and 1 about 300 motors west-southwest of the flight control at a.tionl, Pi tier 4'{rAINEf3J DATE PREPARED" " . Tt had yellow stripes running around the fro. section of the fuselage and yellow diagonal. stripes on the rudder assembly. There was no ar'sr activity at the field on this date. Repair work was being 50X1-HUM done on one DUG-15 west of Badener Strasse, The rudder and elevator assemblief3 and the tail of the MiG were disassembled. Next to the plane, there was a gray box, about 1.5 x 1.5 x 2 meters, The corner edges of this box were reinforced by strap iron. Two soldiers provided the sides of the rudder assembly with a yellow coat of paint. Two other 141G-15s h.a4 a red ring and a white-bordered., red ring running around their fuselages 0 2 2. The AA gun emplacements located at the southern and eastern sections of the field wore vacant. Between the southern emplacement and the target range was a cabin, about 1.5 meters square, The roof was about 2.5 meters high and on it was fitted a 1.5-meter rod antenna. 3, The Nachrichten Kas'rne at 'Wiener ileustadt military pooh, which was guarded by sentries wearing black-bordered blue epaulets, was apparently not occupied to ca)acity.
