In Naarch 1953k, Fernmeldebauamt 1 (TelecvmxAunications Construction Office) In Berl n
prepared plans for a 30-v re underground cable with individual ;strands of 1,5-i
diameter which was to be laid for the VP between Karlshorst and Jueterbog. The cable
was scheduled to be constructed by the German postal systm and the VEB Fernmeidskabel.
Anlaenbau in Berlin and was to be completed by 15 .?pril 19534 VP was scheduled to
construct the cable between linna andJueterbog. The cable was planned to run through
the Soviet amplification offices in Koenigswuaterhausen, Toepchin, :rperenberg, and
Kolzenburg and was to end in barracks installations 1octed outsi1_te Jueterbog
C Ie t3. Since the cable was planned predominantly for Soviet occupied posts
including Wuelsdorf.. Sperenberg and Luckenwalde and was to end et the Soviet post in
Jueterbog, 'Leading along KVP installations on Schneller Strasse in Berlin and in
Adlershof and along the post of the KVP signal battalion in Niederlehme near
Koenigswusterhausen outside Berlin, there is reason for believing that the cable was
primarily planned for require..ents of the Soviet occupation power
