I. On 4 Ply 1953, the barracks installation in. Jena-Loebstedt quartered about
450 soldiers who wore red-bordered bladc epaulets, including some with
artillery insignia. The majority of the troops had left between 13 and 19
April. About 150 soldiers engaged in ty ,ical exercises in. the barracks
yard on 25 April Four tanks covered with tarpaulins were in the yard on
