the Chinese Communists were exploiting a copper mine at
Yai (7171767-J ) near the Pangyuan (6721/0337) River in T alang
(N 23-26, E 101.41). The mines were worked by about 200 prisoners who were
guarded by 20 public security troops of the T'alang district.
