THIS IS UNEVALUATED INFORMATION
On 10 ftorii 1953 a confere?ice of the leading employees of the former
Jvnker. swerke took Di,ace' in the linistry of Interior under the chair-
manship of the Central Committve and in cooperation with the State
office for 'uteri al Procurement. High officers of the Soviet Air
Force are s1iJ to have been present also. The followiig are allegedly
t: e matters discussed ,tt the conference:
a. 7roduction of spare, part:, for soviet planes, chiefly fighter

b~ Constn ction of new planes for the Volkspolizei.
C. Lxamination of the proposed costs for rebuilding the Jiulkerswerke
to its pre-war status.
d4 The date for commencement of full production was set for 1 January
195La
e~ A :number of engineers are supposed to be selected to go to Russia
for a three-month course of study in the autumn of 1953
f. The '?inietry of Interior has decided that in the near future--
date not yet determined.-the area around the works in Dessau
and Aken is to be declared a "restricted area." All civilians
residing there will have to be evacuated.
g. The present airport is shortly to be made into a training field
for the East German Ai-' Force and will further serve as a testing
field for the Junkerswerke.
