1. At the Saechdieche Granii.twerke VEB,practically all work
his done last nd a
result of the almost 100 percent dismantling. During ' roay
73 percent of the quota was attained. The main customer for building materials
has been the village cooperatives, but deliveries to them have been cut off.
At present the foundry combine is being supplied with limestone, and there are

orders for the new police barracks at Loebau and
now about 800.
At'VEB Waggonbau Bautzen the labor force dropped by 500 during the last quarter
and now stands at about 3,500. The dismissals were due to material shortages.
For the same reason,,oniy 61.percent of the production quotas were met last
quarter. At present,the materials siIuation has somewhat brightened. 2Orders
are on hand from the Formstahl Riesa the Magdeburg machine factory ,
East German railroads and ABUS Wildau 1. There are also further orders from
the Polish state railroads'. Three luxury cars are being built for the Blue
Express.
