The barracks installations and cantonments at Altengrabow had a quartering capacity, of about 8,000 men by the end of the war. At present,, there is available a,quartering space for an estimated 10,000 men. Previous observations indicated that camps in the woods were located in Hohenlobbeseg, in the woods about 2 to 3 km southwest of Koepernitz and in the wooded area of Rosenkrug south of 8chopsdorf. .he woods south of Schopsdorf is placed off limits throughout the year. According to rumors among the population,, numerous low, wooden buildings serving as quarters were located near Posenkrug and tent camps would be established in the summer.
