In the fall of 1951, source observed about 15 jet planes parked at an airfield, north of Kobrin (N 52-12, E 2l-22), east of a highway running to the north. The planes had swept-back wings and an air outlet at the rear of the fu.se:lago about 30 cm in diameter. At the north side of the field, about 200 meters from the highway, there was a large two-story building which. was apparently entered by flying personnel after their planes bad landed. Extensive construction work was going on in the north- west corner of the field. Sections of prefabricated houses were being unloaded from a freight oar parked on the spur track of the airfield, and prefabricated hlousea were being erected on the north and south sides of the field.. acme hangars seemed to be nearing completion in the northeast corner of the installation, Source learned from a Soviet driver that prior to the fall of 1951 the installation had been in use only during the su er months, but that It would be permanently occupied upon completion of the construction work. 2. Source observed, a fuel dump containing eight fuel contaihers, each about four meters high; and five meters in diameter, about one kilometer west of Kobrin, south of the highway to Brest (N 52-05, E 23-42). The fuel dump covered an area about 500 x 300 meters. Fuel drums with a capacity of 200 liters were also aeon at the dump, which had a railroad connection. Trucks were seen proceeding from the dump to Kobrin airfield. 25X1A 25X1X
