a. Rumania has ordered a 50 kw medium wave commercial transmitter from the
Funkwerk.
b. A task known under the code-name "SO" is being undertaken in the Funkwerk.
The task concerns a 600 kw medium wave transmitter, but no other details
are known.
c. Tube RF-566 is being obtained by the Funkw'erk for the large Hubertus transmitter,
i . e the Z project. This is to be increased in power to 600 kw. The
RF-566 tubes allegedly come from the Werk fuer Fernmeldewesen HF 25X1
the
tubes arrive at the Funkwerk labelled "Werk HF". The only reason which could
be ascertd for this belief in the true origin of the tubes ims a strong
doubt in the ability of Werk EF at this moment to produce such tubes.

c. The Funkwerk has received some iron carbonyl produced by Leuna
Chemical Works and pressed by the RFT Kondensatoren'erk Gera.
d. None of the German specialists recently repatriated to East
Germany from Leningrad had, up to late March 1953, been employed
in the Funkwerk Koepenick. It was -understood in the Funkwerk
that they returned from Brest through a transit camp in East
Germany at a place with a name like Schadow.l
Comment: We believe the camp to be at or near Saarow,
kms southeast of the center of Berlin.
