The freehand sketch of Malko Tarnove, to be found on page 3 of this report,
.On page 4 will be found a sketch of the Malko Titrnovo 25X1.
Militia and State Security Headquarters. Pollowing the ke.r,-to the`1ktch
le Eastern Orthodox Church, on the Church Square.
2. Communist Party Headquarters, on the Church Square facing the church. It is
a 2-story, grey, brick building,.measuring 7..8 by'20 meters. The ground floor
is occupied by a stationery and a dress shop. The second floor contains the
Communist Party Headquarters, which occupy the whole floor.
3. Post Office Building, on the Church Square, It in a 2-story, grey, rectangular
building, of brick, measuring about 7-8 meters on each side,
4. The State Savings Bank, next to the Post Office on a aide street which leads
to the Church Square.
The People's City.Council Building, opposite the State Savings Bank on the
side street leading to the square and in the second block from the square.
It. is a'l-story, brick building built before 1944 and not yet plastered. It
measures about 7 meters square and about 10 meters in height. Lt-that,emtrance
of the building there is a:.stairway of about 10 steps.
The Militia and State Security Headquarters is next to the People's-City Council
Building in the second block of the side street leading to the square. It Is .a
2-story brick building about 15 meters square. The ground floor is occupied;,
by the Militia while the second floor contains the State Security Headdquarters.
There are generally 25 to 30 persons on duty in the building during the day,
and about 10 to 15 persons at night.

The only new construction in Malko Turnovo since September 1944 is the new maternity
hospital which was completed in 1951. The new hospital is not located in the central
part of Malko TQrnovo and therefore is not shown on the sketch of this report.
