The 1952 production plan of Vk+B Carl Zeiss,, Jena, included the construc14
ti.on of ter, elecr.r-on microscopes. Only four were actually built. One
of teem went to tali Univex.5ity, another to Prof, Alfred R.ecknaaely
physicist at Dresden University, Two electron microscopes are still in the
Zeiss works,
The 1.953 construction plan again includes construction of teen electron
microscopes, but it is doubtful whether they will be completed in the
cv:>rss of the year., The difficulty lies in the fact that the Zei.ss
techricians hav(: not succeeded in solving. the problems of high frequency
technology invoived1whereas they. have mastered their problems of optical
tc-echnolog,
