The function of this office was to design and construct acdels of tools necessary for the production of kinescopes, iconoscopes, and magnetrons, a descriptive list of the persons at the Institute see pr ?es 2-5) and an organization chart of the Institute (see page 6). He had no specialty. Asirel, Soviet, replaced Anurov. He is still in charge of this department. Bratke, returned to Germany in March 1952. Hoppe, returned to Germany in December 1950, deceased 1952. Lubirnov, Soviet, chief of this office. He was transferred in 1948 to his own design office,where only Soviets were employed. He had no. specialty. Malchow, chief of the German group assigned to this office. He was transferred to the Production Planning Department in 1949. Thuermann, returned to Germany in March 1952. Treiber, returned to Germany in December 1950. Wendel returned to Germany in December 1950. Winkler, returned to Germany in March 1952. Tube Design Group The following German:-designers, all engineers, worked in this group: .Bohn, returned to Germany in March of 1952. Fischer, returned to Germany in December of 1950. Reinecke, returned to Germany in March 1952. Reschke, returned to Germany in March 1952. Electrical Measuring Instruments'Group The following Germans in this group were all engineers with the exception of one draftsman: Remke, Mrs., draftsman, returned to Germany in March 1952. Her husband worked on a tube sealing machine in the OKBM (Soviet designation - Source does-not know what these letters represent). This particular building was not a part of the Institute but was within'the Institute grounds, approximately two blocks'away. Mr. Remke also returned to Germany in March 1952. Schmidt, returned to Germany in December 1950.. Sentz, returned to Germany in December 1950. Zander, returned to Germany in March 1952. Fleischer, Alois, Ing; 40 years old; bachelor; perhaps worked on magnetrons with Dr. Gerhard; returned to Germany in December 1950. Gerhard, Dr.; physicist; returned to Germany in March 1952. Spiegel (REG-149), Dipl Ing; 48 years old;arrived in Fryazino with his mother. Married a German girl while in the USSR. Radio tube specialist; returned to Germany in March 1952. Thurley, Ing.; 48 years old; was a bachelor but married later in East Germany; worked in a laboratory for electrical measuring instruments; returned to Germany in December 1950. Vogi (or Fogy), Dr.; Austrian; physicist; bachelor; was transferred to some other place unkn n to Source. He designed electrical. measuring equipment, he might have tried to get'in touch with the Austrian authorities and that his. eudderi,dieappea ante was due to. this effort. von Bronk, Dr.; worked with a Soviet interpreter, not a technician; field of specialization unknown; returned to Germany in December 1950. von Brueck, Dipl Ing; 48 years old; married, two children; worked on germanium' detector program; returned to Germany in March 1952. Wiener, Ing; 40 years old;'married, his wife and two children stayed in Berlin; physicist. This man, on 22 October 194, walked around with a rope around his neck because he felt th4t he had been . kidnapped; and this was his method of illustrating his'forceful detention.
