(FOR KEY SEE REVERSE) The Department for Collection and Acquisition (DCA- Directiunea Colectari si Achy'zitionar )? under the Ministry of Light Industrya organizes the collecting of all kinds of waste materials and wool quotas from the peasants? Although the sale of scrap metal is not compulsory: the peasants are forced by the collectorsp with the assistance of,the Militi if a necessaryp to sell at nominal prices all scrap metals9 including copper'. aluminum and lead, 2, The Gura Hurrlaxului br h f anc o DCA is responsible for 45 villages., with 20:000 inhabitants. including Stupicani, Valea-Seaca, Poir .f.-,Micului.s, Braestio and several villages in the Suceava district. The staff of the branch consists of five clerks and 26 collectors, In 1950 the following materials were col"lected.- ae Scrap.Iron,, 2,9000 tons were sent to Otelul Rosu., formerly Ferdinand., and Dtmbrava Mara. Steel,. 110 tons were sent to Radauti for the USSR. Wools 11,65j. kga of sheen fleeces motet f h' h Scrap copper and aluminum. 50 tons were sent to Radauti for the USSR. mill at Buhusi. Anew wing has been added to thiswmill to be used for bleaching and finishing processes. Some wool was also sent to Centro- comtextil in Bucharest.
