(FOR KEY SEE REVERSE) 1d During the night of 16 September 1952 when visibility was good extraordinarily n en- an c s e first searchlight positions were seen near Dagerort on H;iiurnaa (Dago) island from a distance of between three and five nautical miles off shore. Another group of searchlights was located, near Pakerort on Pal ri island, and several searchlights were seen close to Pakerort lighthouse and others on Keri island. 20. The positions of other searchlights were prac- tically all along the Estonian coast, could not be determined because they were under the horizon. Their activity began at dusk and continued all night until dawn EZZI Comment. Previous information repeatedly indicated intensive Soviet searchlight activity on the Estonian coast and in the Gulf of Finland.
