The "Trudbenik" Compressor Factory (Tvornica kompresora "Trudbeni.k") in
Doboj, which has been producing compressor units of 6 atmospheres, has re-
cently mastered the production of aircraft and automobile lights.(5)

In 1953, the Ravne Ironworks (Zelezarna Ravne) in Korosko produced 30,000
more tons of steel than in 1952.(23)
The completion of construction work and assembly of installations of the
Natron Paper Factory (Tvornica natron papira) in MaglaJ was again postponed.
The plan is to put the factory into partial operation sometime this year.(24)
At the beginning of April, a new knitting installation is to be put into
operation at the "Biser" Stocking Factory (Tvornica carapa "Riser") in Bjelovar.
At first the new installation will concentrate on yarn. Later, it will pro-
duce Jumpers, pull-overs, and ladies' scarves.(25)
In 1954, over 35 million dinars will be spent on modernizing the Wool
Fabric Industry (Industrija vunenih tkanina) in Zabok. The factory will export
150,000 meters of wool cloth to Nigeria in the first quarter of 1954.(19)
By 15 April, the "Nonca Kamiseva" Silk Combine (Svilarski kombinat "Nonca
Kamiseva") in Titov Veles will be serially produ,:inr, silk thread. The labor
force is being increased from 200 to 300 workers, 1,90 of whom will be working
in the thread section.(26)
A new'. pinning mill is under construction in Zabok. The "Oroteks" [OrosavlJe
Textile Industry, 0roslavska tekstilna industrija "Oroteks") in Oroslavlje is
equipping a new dye plant. The knitting mill in Cakovec will spend 80 million
dinars on a new engine room.(27)
The "Petol,etka" Shoe Factory (Tvornica cipela "Petoletka") in Subotica
delivered;;lte first contingent of shoes for Abyssinia. A total of 11,000 pairs
valued at 20 million dinars are to be delivered.(17)
The iyarinkovic" Furniture Factory (Tvornica pokucstva "Ivo Marinkovic")
in Osijek has increased its furniture production by six times.(13)
