The Stalino Agricultural Machine Building Plant imeni Oktyabr'skaya
Revolutsiya produces machines for grain crops, sugar beet crops, vine-
yards, and tea plantations.
Since the beginning of 1953, the plant has produced thousands of swamp
rotary tillers for land reclamation work.

and wide rim wheels. The plow has passed tests and the plant is organiz-

PRODUCE DITCH DIGGERS -- Tashkent, Pravda Vostoka, 24 Oct 53
The Kiev Machinery Plant has produced a new universal ditch-digging
machine for use with the DT-54 tractor. The new machine has a special
device for packing down the bottom of the ditch.
The plant has designed and tested a universal tractor-mounted ditch-
digging machine for digging temporary ditches. The machine is also used
for leveling temporary ditches. The new ditch digger digs 4 kilometers of
ditch in an hour, twice as much as does the KPU-200A ditch digger.

and irrigation work. A large number of earth-digging machines is ready
for shipment to Soviet republics in Central Asia.
The Kusa Machine Building plant is producing parts for agricultural
machines,
A Plant in Zlatoust is producing well, pumps, automatic watering troughs,
and other items for aninal-husbandry farms.
PRODUCE WELL-DRILLING MACHINE -- Alma Ata, Kazakhmtanskaya Pravda, 2 Oct 53
The ToguzaL Repair Plant, Kustanayskaya Oblast, is producing a machine
for drilling artesian wells. The machine can drill to a depth of 100 meters.
It is mounted on the ZIS-150 truck.
PRODUCE OVERHEAD CONVEYERS -- Moscow, Pravda, 15 Oct 53
In September 1953, the Syzran' Self-Propelled Combine Plant shipped
more than 40 overhead conveyer assemblies to the Ukraine, to Central Asia,
and to Moskovskaya, Leningradskaya, Gor'kovskaya, Omskaya, and other oblasts.
An overhead conveyer assembly consists of more than 400 meters of
rails, four 300-kilogram wagons for feed deliveries, and two wagons for
removal of manure.
One overhead conveyer assembly serves a farm having 100 head of cattle.
The plant has pledged. to fulfill its 1953 production plan for overhead
conveyers by 17 December 1953.
RECEIVE ORDER FOR OVERHEAD CONVEYERS -- Riga, Sovetskaya Latviya, 11 Oct 53
The Daugavpils Metal Plant has received an order to produce 300
overhead conveyers. The plant, which must produce and deliver to kolkhozes
50 overhead conveyers during the first quarter of 1954, will train a spe-
cial crew to install the overhead conveyers in kolkhozes.
WILL BUILD A LARGE QUANTITY OF MILKERS -- Riga, Sovetskaya Latviya,

In 1951 and 1952, the Gomel' Gomsel'mash Agricultural Machine Building
Plant developed.-and tested the DUP-10 mobile milker. The DUP-10 milks ten
cows at the,came time. It is equipped with a milk cooler.
In 1954, thousands of DUP-10 mobile milkers will be delivered to
kolkhozes and sovkhozes of the Soviet Union.
