THIS IS UNEVALUATED INFORMATION ALBANIAN PEOPLE LISTEN TO WESTERN BROADCASTS -- Istanbul, Aksam, 26 Dec 52 Munich 25 December -- It has been reported that Albanian people listen secr,tly to Western radio broadcasts. A guard watches the dcor and windows, and the signal volume is kept very low. Those who have radios pass on the information they have heard to others. SABOTAGE INCREASED IN BULGARIA -- Athens, Estia, 24 Mar 53 London -- According to information received through indirect means from Bulgaria, sabotage has increased recently. A big fire occurred recently in the largest flour mill of Bulgaria, located at Yambol. .another fire occurred in a chemical factory at Dimitrovgrad. PASSIVE RESISTANCE SLOWS DAM CONSTRUCTION IN BULGARIA -- Istanbul, Aksam, 28 Dec 52 Munich, 27 December -- A large dam, ??htch has been under construction since 1947 and which will irrigate th. Plovdiv region of Bulgaria, has not yet been completed because of passive reyiszance. CZECH COMMUNIST LEADER ASSASSINATED -- Athens, Le Messager d'Athenes, 17 Feb 53 A local Communist cell leader was recently found assassinated in Lipany, eastern Slovakia. The Security Police have not been able to identify those responsible for the murder but attribute it to anti-Communist partisans. In its struv.,~le against such movements the police are being aided by units of the regular army, which, however, through fear of being ambushed, never dare to enter forests where the partisans have their hide-outs. About 20 customers were killed and hundreds were injured. Responsible authorities hushed up this incident, and no word about it.appeared either in the newspapers or on the radio. ANTI-COMMUNIST GUERRILLAS ACTIVE IN RUMANIA -- Athens, Ethnos, 4 Mar 53 Vienna -- Rumanian refugees have reported that the activities of the anti- Communist guerrillas in Rumania have increased considerably. The guerrillas appear in groups of 50 or more men. Lately, they have successfully raided w^apons factories, munitions warehouses, and railroad property. They also have had actual battles with the Soviet security police. The guerrillas seem to come especially from the regions of the Metalice and Transylvania mountains.
