weather was Warm only in the Caucasus, Crimea, southern Ul?~aine, and eouth-

This morning, cold veatLer prevailed in moat of the European USSR. Rains
fell in the Karelo-Finnish SSR, Arkhangel'skaya and Leningradskaya oblasts,
Baltic republics, western Belorussian SSR, and locally in the eastern IIraLs.
Harm weather pre?ailed in the aouthvestern Ukraine, Cri.aea, and Rorthern
Caucasus.

20 in Astrakhan', 22 in Odessa, 24 in Yalta, and 25 in Sochi.

Thin morning, overcast, rainy weather was recorded in northern Arkhangel+_
akaya Oblast and, locally, ~, Gor+kovskaya, Kirovekaya, and Molotova;taya oblasts.
Showers with local th?~nderstorme occurred in the Ukraine and the northern portion
? oY the Baltic republics. Cool weather without precipitation prevailed Sn Belo-
ruseian SSR,?middle Volpe region, southern Urals, northwestern European iHSR,

of the Ukraine, and southeastern European USSR.
Last night's lowest temperature in Moscow was 14 degrees above zero; it was
