This morning, cloudy weather with local snowfalls continued in
most of the European USSR. Rasa was rPeorded locally in the south-
western Ukraine. It was warm in the Tra..seaucasus.
Temperatures at 0900 this morning were.-14 degrees in Nar'yan-
Mar, -10 in Kirov and Kazan', -9 in Lvov, Orel, Saratov, Kuybyshev,
and Molotov, -8 in Kursk and Ufa, -7 in Syktyvkar, -6 in Smolensk,
Vinnitsa, Gor'kiy, Kalinin, and Vologda, -5 in Kharkov, Murmansk,
and Arkhangel'ak, -4 in Kaliningrad, Leningrad, and Riga, -2 in
Kiev, Rostov, and Minsk, 2 degrees above zero in. Astrakhan' and
Odessa, and 7 in Sochi.
Last night's lowest temperature in Moscow was 7 degrees below

This morning, cloudy weather with light frosts continued in
most of the European USSR. It was warm in the Crimea, the Black
Sea shore of the Caucasus, and the Ukraine. Precipitation in the
form of snow was recorded in the eastern European USSR, in the form
of rain in the Ukraine.
Temperatures at 0900 this morning were -12 degrees to Chkalov
and Saratov, -7 in Kazan', -5 in Murmansk, -4 in Leningrad, Kalinin-
grad, and Gor'kiy, -2 in Minsk, Smolensk, and Astrakhan', -1 in
Voronezh, zero in Kiev, Riga, Kharkov, and Lvov, 1 degree above
zero in Krasnodar and Rostov, 2 degrees in Yalta, and 13 in Sochi.
Last night's lowest temperature in Moscow was 8 degrees below
zero; it was 3 degrees below zero at noon today. (1)
Temperatures yesterday morning were -24 degrees on Dikson Is-

Yesterday, overcast weather with local precipitation and fog
prevailed in Belorussia. Temperatures at 1500 were 1 degree below
zero in Gomalt and Grodno, zero in !mask, Bobruysk, and Baranovichi,

This morning, cold weather prevailed in the western !irnpean
USSR. Light and moderate frosts continued in the central, north-
western, and western regions. It was worm in the north Caucasus,

those regions. The weather became worse in the Baltic countries
and western Belorussia, wh-re snowfalls and snowstorms were record-
ed locally. Overcast weather with snowfalls, strong winds, and
local snowstorms cuntinued in the central and northwestern regions.
In the eastern European USSR, it was mostly slightly cloudy with
light moderate frosts.
Temperatures at 0900 this morning were -14 degrees in Kirov,
-13 in Molotov, -12 in Chkalov, -11 in Svktyvkar and Smolensk,

warmer weather was accompanied by precipitation in the form of
snow, rain, and drizzles. In the rest of the European USSR, light
