During the la4t day;, the snow-cover depth has increased in the eouth-
eea+,era fi..ropean 'i58R. Its depth is now 11-20 centimeters in moat of Kuy-
bYshev, 8aratov, and Stalingrad obleats and 21-30 centimeters in the north-
ern portionh of'Baratov and Kuybyshev oblaets.
Cloudless and cold weather continued ]n Weat Siberia and post of Kazakh-
stan. On 5 March, 3eytime temperatures were -14 degrees in Omsk, -15 in Bar-
naul, -16 in ftovoaibirak, -19 is Semipalatinsk, and -21 in Akmolinek. Strong

Oa 6 and 7 perch, meetly clear weather prevailed in moat of the European
iJSSR. At night, temperatures dropped to 15-20 degrees below zero, locally

Cold weather with snowfalls, enowetarma, and strong winds continued in
West Siberia. At night, temperatures were ?0-25 degrees below zero. On
10 March, noon temperatures were -19 degrees in Tobol~ek, -17 in Omsk, and
-11 in ftovosibirak.
Slightly cloudy weather pr.evalled in East Siberia. Temperatures were
about 25-30 degrees below zero st night, 8-12 degeeea below zero during the
day.

On 11 and 12 March, slightly cloudy wather without precipitation pre-
vailed in moat cf the European LLSSR. It became cooler in the Ulsaine and
Volga Region. On 12 March, nighttime temperatures fell to 15-20, locally
