AZSRBAYDZRAR SSR TOPS 1951 PLAN BY 2 PERCENT
The Statistics Administration Azerbaydzhan SSR reports that Azerbaydzhan
industry fulfilled the 1951 plan 102 percent, including 101 percent by union
enterprises, and 103 percent by republic and rayon enterprises.
In 1951, gross production of industry increased 12 percent in comparison
with 1950.

In agriculture, kolkhozes and sovkhozes of the republic fulfilled the
established 1951 state plan for grain procurement 101.3 percent, ahead of
schedule and earlier than in 1950; and the plan for wheat deliveries was ful-
filled 115.3 percent. In 1951, 2,537,000 hoods more wheat were delivered
to the state than during the same period in 1950.
The state plan for wool procurement was fulfilled ahead of schedule. In
1951, 25,180 centners more wool was delivered to the state than during the same
period in 1950.
The state plan for procurement of silkworm cocoons was fulfilled 102.7
percent, green tea leaves 112 percent, industrial and table grapes 100.2 per-
cent, and vegetables 100.4 percent. In 1951, 20,040 centners more industrial
and table grapes, 2,150 centners more green tea leaves, and 1,170 centners
more silkworm cocoons were delivered to the state than in 1950.
The plan for sowing winter grain crops was fulfilled 105.5 percent, and
the plan for fall plowing 81 percent.
MTS fulfilled the 1951 plan for tractor work 105 percent, including sow-
ing of spring crops 96 percent, cultivation of row crops 110 percent, plowing
of fallow land 102 percent, combine -harvesting of grain crops 147 percent,
threshing of grain crops with threshers 86 percent, sowing of winter crops
114 percent, and fall plowing 82 percent.
The plan for tractor repair during the fourth quarter 1951 was fulfilled
106 percent.
The 1951 plan for retail commodity turnover was fulfilled 98 percent, in-
cluding 97 percent for turnover in the retail trade network, and 104 percent
for turnover in public eating enterprises.
Individual ministries and departments fulfilled the 1951 plan as follows:

baydzhan Fishermen's Union 109 percent, URS of "Azneft'" Association 102 per-
cent, Univermag 96 percent, Gastronom 96 percent, Maritime Transport Trading
Enterprises 100.4 percent, Office of Azerbaydzhan Railroad Restaurants 100.4
ORS of "Mingechaurgesstroy" (Mingechaur GES Construction) 104 percent, and
URS of Azerbaydzhan Railroad System 97 percent.
