The ministry should quickly organize the mass production of equipment for kolkhoz radio units and produce more loudspeakers and reliable battery radio sets. Today, the first consignments of the sets, which are battery operated and receive short- and long-wave broadcasts, were shipped to Irkutsk, Voronezh, and other cities. DOSARM RADIO CLUBS LACK PARTS -- Minsk, Sovetskaya Belorussiya, 27 Mar 51 DOSARM radio clubs in Brest Oblast have experienced acute shortages of radio parts. Three months ago, the Dosarm oblast committee appealed to the Brest Oblast Consumers' Union to put on sale the necessary quanti- ties of parts for detector nets. Kiselev, chairman of the oblast consumers' union, requested 380 parts kits for detector sets from Belkooptorg (Belo- russian Trade Cooperative). Belkooptorg promised to fill the order in 3 days, but the parts have not yet been delivered. MAKE RADIO PARTS ABOVE PLAN -- Tashkent, Pravda Vostoka, 26 Apr 51 The Tashkent Radio Parts Plant has completed its 4-month program ahead of time. Plant workers agreed to produce 200,000 ruble's' worth of above- plan production by the end of April. PRODUCE IMPROVED RECORDER -- Tashkent, Pravda Vostoka, 6 Apr 51 The Kiev Music Combine is starting the mass output of the Dnepr-3 sound recorder. This new model, approved for production by -.he All-Union Scientific Research Institute of Sound Recording, is far superior to the former Dnepr recorder, which had two recording speeds, one for music and one for speech. The Dnepr-3 has one speed for both music and speech, and its uninterrupted .recording time has been increased to one academic hour instead. of the former 18 minutes.
