26 August 1950. Sunny and almost cloudless in the morning. Heavy cloud-
iness from the west in the afternoon. Moderate east winds. Maximum tempera-
ture in southwest Bulgaria, near 35 degrees; in northern Bulgaria, the Thra-
cian lowland, and southeast Bulgaria, 28-30; along the Black Sea, 27.

1 September 1950. Continued hot during the day. Considerable summer
cloudiness will develr.p toward noon around the mountains. Thunderstorms, as-
sociated with temporary wind increases, will develop locally in the afternoon,
mainly in the central Balkans and the Rila-Rhodopes mountain range. Maximum
temperature in the basin areas of northern Bulgaria, 36 degrees; along the

2 September 1950, Windy weather with scattered variable cloudiness. more
pronounced in western Bulgaria, where light rain will fall locally in the af-
ternoon. Maximum temperature in the basin areas of northern Bulgaria, near
35 degrees; along the Black Sea, near 27; in other parts of the country, 29-32.
3 September 1950. During the day in most of the country the weather will
be relatively cool and very cloudy, with local light showers in eastern Bul-
garia. Slight cooling. Maximum temperature in southeast Bulgaria, near 28

cloudiness, more pronounced in the afternoon in western Bulgaria. Minimum tem-
perature, 13-16 degrees; maximum, 20-26. Low to moderate northwest winds.
6 September 1950. Very cloudy during the day in southeastern Bulgaria.
Sunny weather will predominate in the morning in other parts of the country;
considerable summer cloudiness will develop in the afternoon, mainly over the
mountainous regions. Low winds. Minimum temperature, 10-14 degrees; maximum,
24-27.
7 September 1950. Sunny during the day with summer cloudiness, mainly in
the afternoon and over the mountains. Low winds. Minimum temperature, 10-13
degrees; maximum, 24-27.
8 September 1950. Sunny during the morning. Summer cloudiness in the
afternoon, more pronounced over the mountainous regions. Low winds. Minimum
temperature, 12-15 degrees; maximum, 24-27.
9 September 1950. Moist and comparatively cool air will begin to enter
the country from the west early in the morning. Under its influence, the
weather in western Bulgaria will be predominantly cloudy, while light local
rains will fall later, mainly over the mountains. The weather in eastern Bul-
garia will be sunny most of the day, .Low west winds. Minimum temperature,
14-16 degrees; maximum, 21-25.
10 September 1950. Predominantly sunny during the day in the entire coun-
try, with scattered cloudiness, more pronounced in the afternoon and over the
mountains, Low winds. Minimum temperature, 14-16 degrees; maximum, 28-32.
