Petrozavodek calebrated the 25th anniversary Of the founding of the republic
on 25 July 194
The parade of Petrozavodek Garrison troops began at 1100. The following
personalities were in the reviewing stand: 0. V. Eliusinen, Chairman of the
Presidium of the Supreme Soviet, Barelo-Finnish SSR; G. N. Knpriyamoa,
Secretary of the Central Comsittee of the SP (b), Karelo-Finnish SSR,; V. R.
Virolaynsn, Chairman of the Soviet of Ministers, Barelo-Finnish Sit; and
delegates from the neighboring republics of Ukraine, Belorussia,
Uzbekistan, Istonia, Latvia, and Lithuania.
General-polkovnik K. S. Shumilov, Horo of the Soviet Union and comuacder
of troops of the. White Sea Military District, greeted and congratulated the
defenders of the northern frontier.
At the gala meeting of the workers of Petrozavodek which followed, the
p11Mipsl speakers were: G. N. Kupriyanov, 0. V. guusinen, and I. A. Vlasov,
Chairman of The Presidia of the Supreme Soviet, RSFSR.
Rodionov, 6eleWe of the workers of'Aoecov; Kovpak, Ukrainian repre
sentative and twice Nero of the Soviet Union, and delegt-"es from the t 'eh,
