A statute of the Autonomous Province of Vojvodina and of the Autondeous
Tarritory of Iosovo-Metohi ja ,[aomsonly'abbreviated to the 1Doswt, reoeaitly
issued by the Popular Assembly of the Tojvodinm and the Territorial Peoples
CcAStittee of theKoamet, in accordance with the provisions of the constitution
of the People's Republic of Serbia, provides the following: Clause 2 p,arideo
that the Vojvodina and the Koe t shall enjoy separate autonoap as guaranteed in
the constitutions of Serbia and the PPBY. Clause 3 provides that all citizens
shall bave equal rights regardless of nationa.USty, raoe, or religion. Clause
3 states that popular minorities shall enjoy the right to and protection of
their can cultural development and unrestricted use of their own language. The
Serbian and Albanian languages shall be used on a basis of equality in all
government offices in the Eoomet. Prc:oedings in law courts shall be conducted
both in Serbian an." Albanian.
The statute will go into effect after approval by the Popular Assembly of
Serbia and publication in the official gazettes of the Vojvodina, the Kosmet,
and Serbia.
