(LISTED BELOW) SUPPLEMENT TO REPORT NO. 1.I 1943-44, the town of 2. 25X1 25X1 3. 25X1 4. oro ooh is about 30 kilometers west of Lvo had a popula- tion of seven - eight thousand. T.e town had the usual means of transportation - bicycles and horse drawn wagons. Once a day busses travelled through the town enroute to other villages, towns, and cities. A railroad station was situated northwest of the town. The line was double track and came from I:vov and went westward to PrzenWsl. There were both passenger and freight trains going through the town. There were from four - five passenger trains daily going through Gorodok. The town had one ;Hain street which ran ea3t and west going through the center of the city. It went east to Lvov and west to Sudoveya Vishiya. It was smooth asphalt paved and constructed in 1939-40. It was wide enough for two cars and a third car could squeeze by. i? Another fairly good road ran south from Gorodok to Kosarro . it also was two cars wide, but stone and gravel surfaced. Whenever it rained this road became very muddy. 6. The region surrounding Gorodok produced considerable dairy products. The principal crops grown in this area were wheat, rye, beets, and oats. Sale vegetables and fruits were also grown by each villager for home use or for bartering. 7. A public square kae situated in the center of the town. C. A Roman Catholic church was located in the northeast section of town near public square and one old brick 4TSf7c Catholic church was situated on the southeast corner of the square. The latter church had three pastors. 9. The tallest building in the town was three stories high. A power plant was located north of tova.?on a small. ].ales. 13. A dairy station was on the southern outskirts of town. A onettory combination telephone station and post office building was east of the square on the road to Lvov. 14. There was a small lake on the northern outskirts of town. Swimming was prohibited. Fishing was permitted. The most abundant type of fish found in the lake was carp. It was necessary to have a license when net fishing but not when fishing with a pole. .If.9fM, Mae .... caught net fishing without a listanse he was accused of an administrative crisp against : the town. 15. A bakery and a flour mill were situated on the lake, north of town. 16. Near the public square was a small police station. A court house, a three-story brick construction was eaetof the square. 17.
