Moscow has earnestly requested the Afghan Government to demand from London a revisiort of the Afghan-British treaty of 1921, in order to have a free hand if England and the US eventually unite in a Middle East defeii'se treaty. The 1921 treaty i s c-ie th'i t ., t'ghanistan would quite willingly abrogate by itself , in order to negotiate on border questions with Pakistan, as the successor state to British India withcut bi.ing subject to British veto. 2. The USSR has infonaed the Afghan Government that in case of the signature of a treaty betw_~en the U.S and Pakistan it is possible that the Soviet Air-Force will demand the Afghan airfields. 3. The Afghan Government has also been asked to eject the American technicians and oil pro,;nectors working in the area of Shirbaghan on the Amur Daria River. 4.
