Work, which for a ncnth and a half was brought. almost to a stop by lack of
materials, had been retu:r.:d at an increased pace. This was made possible by
the delivery of large'quantlties of manganese dioxide of English origin,which
allegedly was brought into the 93ti:e1 -one by way of Holland. It is reported
that three shifts will be -vorked, because the factory is behinii on commitments
since Ni ember.1953, and 169100 dry cell batteries have to be rianufactured in a
month. That v.__ u;: eussioi: 1, .F,zverles of zinc sheets are not interrupted.
The conditions for mor_ r.nzld troduction were created during December 1953 by the
making of parts.
