5X1 1. Q. Can supply any information regarding Airframe Plant No 18,
and or Airframe Plant No 1, both in Kuibyshev?
A. I know there were other aircraft plants in Kuybyshev, but I know
nothing about them.
2. Q. Give any information regarding production figures for the 012
jot engine or the 022 prop jot engine.
A. As far ae I know, neither the 012 jet engine or the 022 prop
Zs-eptember 19507.
All information possible re the maximum altitude limit of JUMO 022,
covering pertinent engine operational characteristics, such as
compressor stall or surge, combustion instability, engine and
propeller control difficulties and any other influencing factors.

Q. Status of project to couple two JUMO 022 engines into a common
gear box, indicating power ratings, specific fuel consumptions,
configuration (sketch), operational and physical characteristics
and test results of this scheme. Dates should be included so the
rates of progress may be evaluated.
Q. Details on the altitude test stand at Zavod 2, indicating the
range of altitudes and speeds which could be simulated, air flow
capacity, configuration and the extent to which this stand was
used in regard to the development of the JUMO 022 and/or the
JUMO 012. Date altitude test stand put into operation should
also be indicated.
6. Q. Details of the flight testing program conducted on the JUMO 022,
listing dates of initial and subsequent flight tests, estimated
flight-tooting (in hours) conducted on JUMO 022, test results,
description of aircraft used for flight test bed, particularly
engine installation, configuration, supporting maintenance pro-
grams and any other pertinent data.
A. I have no information in regard to the flight testing program
conducted on the JUMO 022.
Possible indication of the use of the JUMO 022 on a speoifio air-
craft and/or the possible destination of any of these engines to
an aircraft plant.
A. I did not hoar of the use of the JUMO 022 engines, nor of their
disposition.
