LOCATION KUANG-CHOU, CHINA
020 COORDS: 23-06N 113-19E
Unidentified vessel under construction on builling way (LOA approx 90'*).
The superstructure aft, the squared-off bow art stern and the overall
appearance indicates that this vessel is possi:nly an amphibious design.
Unidentified vessel (LOA approx 135'').
A rounded stern and a pointed bow, plus an unu;ually wide beam, give an
appearance similar to a ferry.
Unidentified probable trawler (LOA approx 125'1.
This vessel has the overall topside detail, hu',_l shape and characteristic
of an AKL; however no armament is discernible.
Unidentified probable trawler (LOA approx 115'1.
Identification is based on hull shape and tops.:-de detail.
Unidentified vessel (LOA approx 85').
Overall appearance indicates vessel is a possi'nle ATA/YT.
Two probable river barges (LOA approx 120').
Identification is based on the relatively clean deck
aft, and the rounded appearance of the bow.
A. Four new buildings (LOA each building approx 9':5 by 30').
'[:'hese buildings have been completed
Figure 1,
New building (LOA approx 95 by 30').
An additional building of the same design and :measurements as those at
Annotation A above, has also been built. AltbDugh not annotated, founda-
tion preparations for this building are discernible at the southern end
of the above referenced buildings
* All measurements have been made by the IAS analyst.

C. New building construction.
Foundation preparations for a sixth and possible seventh building of
the same design seen at Annotations A and B above are now underway.
E. New probable building construction.
Several probable building foundations can be seen under construction.
Construction on these foundations was begun
F. New building under construction.
Vertical supports and other building materials surround the probable
perimeter of the site of a new building to be constructed.
G. Small building seen at this location on last readout has now been
removed.
H. Three buildings seen under construction at facility Annotation B in
the last readout, all appear to be structurally complete.
I. New building under construction since last readout.
J. Small building seen on last readout has now been removed.
K. Vertical supports and other building materials surround an area probably
intended for the construction of a new building. Foundation work appears
to be under way.
L. New building construction.
Construction activity in this area indicates that a large building is
going to be constructed. Foundation preparations appear to be underway,
several probable storage/supply sheds can be seen, and two cantilever-
type cranes are in the area. Vertical supports and other building
materials have also been laid out.
M. Crane rails under construction.
A set of crane rails is being installed on either side of the existing
craneway tracks. The ultimate direction of these new rails cannot be
determined, since the construction thus far stops about halfway between
the suspect fabrication building and the point where the existing crane-
way turns northward toward the fitting-out quay.

building ways on both sides of the transverser. as evidenced by imagery
probably equating to security screens.
0. Possible fabrication building (approx dimensions 235 by 120').
P. Four-bay construction hall (LOA dimensions 270 by 240').
Earth covered bunker with two entrances.
Unidentified activity is continuing at the ear--h covered bunker. See

KEY TO VESSEL ANNOTATIONS 'O)N FIGURE 2
1. Unidentified vessel (LOA approx 160').
Visible features indicate vessel is possibly a merchant ship.
2. Two unidentified vessels alongside quay (LOA of each approx 65').

previously identified on thel
were not seen or
overage.
A. Suspect vessel imagery.
Two possible vessel bows can be seen protruding from the south end of
the four-bay construction hall.
B. Construction hall.
The four-bay construction hall is probably constructed of reinforced
concrete and trussed arches, and each bay is possibly equipped with an
overhead crane. (See Annotation G, Figure 1,
C. Prefabricated roof' trusses.
At least five prefabricated roof trusses can be seen among the material
laid out for the construction of a new building. (See Annotation L,
