INTRODUCTION
The location of the Ju-yuan Hydro Power Plant as referenced in the Basic
Encyclopedia is approximately 20 nm west of Shao-kuan on the Nan-Shui (River).
No completed hydro power plant was observed at the reported location of the
Ju-yuan Hydro Power Plant. However, a partially completed earthen dam has been
present at this location since at least Construction activity at the site 25X1D
has been sporadic. On coverage of additional construction at 25X1D
the earthen dam appeared to be under way. No ea of water had been created
because a river by-pass had been constructed around the west end of the dam and
25X1D was in use. Analysis of the imagery revealed that no construction
activity suggestive of a power ouse was evident at a site located 2.4 nm east
of the dam as previously reported. I/ However, what appeared to be a surge tank
was identified on a ridge adjacent to the construction site.
