a. Para 6, 3rd seL,-ence: It is suggested that the cord "substantial"
be deleted. While it is admitted that developments in the Moslem world do
affect Indonesia, the physical separation of Indonesia from the rest of the
Moslem world tend to reduce this influence. In any event, developments in
Iran are not likely to have a substantial effect on Indonesia.
b. Para 7, lst sentence, Change "on the other hand" to "it seems more
probable that" and "might" to "would ".
c. Para 10, 5th sentence. It is suggested that the phrase "even to the
possibility of Communist armed revolt" be deleted. The possibility of this
appears rather remote, since it is believed there are comparatively few
armed Communists at the present time. The juxtaposition of this phrase with
the other possibilities mentioned in the sentence tends to give it undue
importance.
