ITEM 1 - Approval of Minutes
1. The minutes of the 2 July.1956 meeting were approved as
amended.
ITEM 2 - NIE 11-6-56
2. The Committee reviewed the revised SEC draft submitted to
GNIC on 9 July 1956. The draft was approved with minor changes for
forwarding to SEC.

ITEM 4 - Guided Missile Indicator List
4. The Chairman reported to the Committee that the National Indications
Center List on guided missiles would be published and sent to GMIC for
review in about three weeks.
5. Following the review of the NIC Indicator List the Committee will
take action on the subject of "Surveillance of the Soviet ICBM Program".
ITEM 5 - French Exhibit of Rockets and Guided Missiles
6. The Chairman informed the Committee of a scheduled exhibit of
guided missiles in Paris, 3 to 8 December 1956. It was also noted that
the Soviets had expressed an interest in participating in the overall
exposition.
7. The Air Force has taken action through the Air Force Attache, Paris,
to follow developments relative to this exhibit with a view to U.S. partici-
pation.

ITEM 7 -.Guided Missile Briefings
12. Lieut. Gilbert H.. Barker, Navy member, briefed the Committee on
his observations. while attending a two day technical forum on the JUPITER
Program.
13. Capt. Richard L. Haley, Army briefed the Committee on his obser-
vations while attending a two day symposium on the PLATO (antimissile missile)
defense system.
ITEM 8 - IAC-D-55/11 Status Report
14. The Committee considered and approved, with mihor changes, the
GMIC report to the IAC on the status of the foreign intelligence programs
in accordance with IAC-D-5511, 22 June 1956.
ITEM 9 - NIE 11-5-56
15. The Chairman informed the Committee that the revised PART TWO,
Section III had been received in GMIC 12.July 1956 and would be distributed
to Committee members on 13 July 1956.
.16. Individual revised service contributions to PART TWO, Section IV
B&C had been received in GMIC. The GMIC Staff will be on duty over the.
weekend to prepare the entire Section IV B&C for distribution to the
Committee on 16-July 1956.
ITEM 10 - Next Meeting
17. The next meeting of the Committee will be held on 0930, 18 July 1956,
Air Force War Room (Room l+B867).
