The sharp decline of the Free Democratic Party to little more than half
gains
of its 1950 election strength contributed to the a$e made by the
Christian Dei,ocrats and the right-wing German t'arty.
A. The extreme irresponsibliity of the party's right wing, which has
controlled much of its policy during the past year, has caused it
to be increasingly unpopular in West Berlin.
