Production and Quality chaired by Senator Adlai_ StevensorY.,
examines the facts of the case and analyzes 13oi:h the laro'?
cedures used in the experiment on competa.i:a.ve an.a..L.ys:.s
and the national intelligence estimates pre~cess. It. alsa
makes findings and recommendations for improvement ~.r1. the
national intelligence estimating process.
The Report has been reviewed and approved. by tl.~e Sub-
committee on Collection, Production and Quality and the
fu11 Committee. In addition, Admiral Stansfield. Turner
has submitted at our request comments on the draft report.
His comments in large measure were constructive and helpful
and many were incorporated into the final draft of the Repor_ t .
The Report also contains the additional.. views o.F Senator
Gary Hart. The preparation of the Repar-Ir was undertaken
with 'the full cooperation of all the agencies of the
national intelligence commtu~.ity and of ~l:he recent p'res'ident' s
Foreign Intelligence Advisory Board.
A copy of this Report has been sent to the S~residen.t
and Vice President.
