On 26 August 1977, my Legislative Counsel delivered to your
staff copies of a summary report of material that was recently
located concerning Projects ARTICHOKE and BLUEBIRD. I-ie else
made arrangements with your staff for them to review this material.

- This material was located as a result of an overall review of
Agency records, control schedules, and inventories of documents
stored in the Agency Archives. Our review of this material failed
to reveal any infor. oration which would contradict ar change the scope
of the information previously furnished to the Congress on these
Projects. In summary, this new material contains working papers.
and file material that provides more detail, than had previously
been available.
We will continue to cooperate with the Committee in every
way possible to facilitate the review of these documents.
