WASHINGTON. D. C. 20505
20 February 1976
Mr. William Rieke
President, Lockheed Missile and
Space Corporation
Sunnyvale, California
I wish to thank you and all your personnel for the
excellent briefings and tours which you hosted for my staff
and mvself last week. The scope of Lockheed's responsibility
in the national space program is truly astonishing. You and
your coworkers can be justly proud of the contributions you
have made to these critical programs.
Having had the opportunity to see the hardware firsthand
and talk with the hardware builders, I feel that I have a
much better understanding of our programs. You may be assured
that this will be of great value to me during the several
sessions with Congress which I expect in the next year.
~f~L
Very truly yours,
eor s
