MEMORANDUM FOR THE UNITED STATES INTELLIGENCE BOARD
SUBJECT: Designation of Chairman, Guided Missile and
Astronautics Intelligence Committee (GMAIC)
1. I appreciate the frankness of the views expressed by
in his memorandum of 13 June, subject as above, and
would we come ervices in a position of
great responsibility in G IC.
2. In view of the importance of GMAIC to the intelligence
community, I feel that the Committee should have a full-time Deputy
Chairman to act for and in the absence of the Chairman and to control
the operations of the eight working groups.
3. It would seem appropriate, therefore, to establish the
position of Deputy Chairman of GMAIC and to appoin
to that position.
