MEMORANDUM FOR: Chief, O/DD/I Management Staff
SU]:3JECT : Parking Space Allocation
I understand there is to be a reallocation of parking spaces later
this month and would like to request you give consideration to the
following special circumstances with regard to requirements of COMIREX
personnel for reserve parking: 25X1A
a. At least three of our CIA officers plus
a DIA officer assigned to COMIREX on a full-time basis, are
required by the nature of their work to make fre uent tri s
on official business to other locations such as
Reston, the Defense Mapping Agency, and the Pentagon.
These trips are normally made by privately owned automobiles
for which reimbursement may or may not be claimed. They
can rarely be scheduled in advance. In most cases no shuttle
service or public transportation is available, use of chauffeur-
driven motor pool cars is not efficient, and the cost of taxicabs,
even if available, is prohibitive.
b. Two officers on the ICRS Staff are required to work
from 0700 to 1530 while Mr. - works from 0700 to at
least 1700 on a regular basis. These officers are not likely
candidates for car pool membership.
C. Almost all COMIREX staff officers and secretaries
have to be flexible in their hours in order to respond to
requirements levied by higher echelons. This makes it
extremely difficult for any of them to be members of a
regular car pool.
25X1A
Chairman, COMIREX
