MEMORANDUM FOR: Director of Research and Development
SUBJECT : Exchange of Briefings with the DDII
1. 1 called Mr. Proctor with reference to the attached
memorandum equesting that ORD brief the
information coordinators in DD/l. I told Mr. Proctor of our .
alternative suggestion that we brief each of the offices of the DDII
and receive reciprocal briefings. Mr. Proctor asked if we would
mind doing both as they have a critteal ADP problem at the moment
and he would like to have the coordinators briefed. He said, how-
ever, that he would inform the office chiefs in DD/I at the staff
meeting today that ORD will be in touch with them to establish a
series of reciprocal briefings (that is, ORD will brief perhaps
six to ten of the key individuals in each of the offices and in turn
will receive a briefing from these offices). The ORD briefing
will encompass all of ORD's activities of significance to DD/I
rather than be restricted to the IPRD and analysis area.
