25X1 D 1. Requirement: To make 8 x 102 page size trace maps, approximate
scale 1:2,000,000, of
25X1 D Each has approximately 20-50 maps and there is a potential
25X1 D 2. Material on hand: FMSAC has supplied raw data (computer printout)
for 52 maps, with advance notice they will supply us with
material shortly for 4 more shots representing 117 additional maps.
3. Estimated time requirement: It is estimated 8 man-hours will be
necessary to produce each sheet. Because of classification CD/X will have
to do the project. Data in hand for 169 maps would require an estimated
1,352 man-hours. If a less substantive approach, such as a grid-type
chart, is acceptable to FMSAC, this time could be halved.
4. CD/BI capability to take on the Project:
a. Unless the project extends over an 8 to 12 month period, the
Division could not absorb the additional man-hours. If the project could
be scheduled at the option of CD over this period, we probably could handle
it with supplemental overtime. This also is conditioned upon doing the
simplest type trace map possible.
b. If the project is scheduled by FMSAC to meet an outside con-
tract requirement on an ASAP basis with a rigid schedulewe do not have
the capability to take it on without seriously affecting production of
current intelligence support and the NIS Program.
