Approved For Release V00/08/29: CIA-RDP79-01153A00010Q 40005-1 UNITED STATES DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURE ECONOMIC RESEARCH SERVICE WASHINGTON 25, D.C. CONFIDENTIAL July 6, 1967 *USDA Waiver Letter In ERU File* Mr. James A. Bramwell Director of Basic Intelligence Central Intelligence Agency Washington, D. C. Yesterday we transmitted to the State Department our draft of the Section 61 on Yugoslavia. This brings to 6 the number we have submitted in fiscal 1967, counting Tunisia, which was nearly completed in fiscal 1966 and submitted on July 20, 1966. Three more sections--Ceylon, Colombia and the Congo--are vir- tually completed as far as Agriculture and Fisheries are con- cerned, but cannot be submitted until the contributions from Forestry are completed. The present outlook is for delivery of Colombia and possibly Ceylon during July, and the Congo in August. We also hope to deliver France during August; on this one Forestry is ahead of Agriculture and Fisheries. It would not have been possible to finish this many Agriculture subsections without the extra assistance by other branches of our Division which Dr. West made available in an effort to get us over the hump. We may have more difficulty in meeting the full schedule, including France, in the coming year, since we cannot expect the other branches to continue providing such additional assistance. Sincerely yours Elfriede Krause, NIS Coordinator Special Projects Branch Foreign Regional Analysis Division CONFIDENTIAL proved For Release 2000/08/29 : CIA-RDP79-01153A000100140005-1
