survey of some sort under Air Force auspices and requested that Gleason
permit one of his staff members to work on this survey. Gleason informed

happy to have him do this and would carry on in the event that _ called me.

as a trading basis. I undertook to look into the question of what might
be available. Later Mr. Dulles spoke to Amory on this and I indicated
to Amory that I would like to see an hin he collected for this purpose

any such material. This should be entirely CIA, produced intelligence and
might well cover fields in which our collection is little more than
newspaper character, but looks rather impressive, and may be used as a
means of stimulating additional collection.
