1. SIGNIFICANCE:
THIS BRIEFING BOARD DEPICTS THE SOVIET TANKER ENGAGED
IN OFF-LOADING OPERATIONS.
2. LOCATION:
THE SOVIET LENINGRAD-CLASS TANKER 0 IS ANCHORED 0.5 NM
NORTHEAST OF LE GOELAND ISLAND, 5.5 NM SOUTH-SOUTHEAST OF HON GAI
IN THE SOUTHEAST AREA OF VUNG HA LONG (BAY).
3. REMARKS:
THIS IS THE SECOND TANKER-TO-BARGE POL OFF-LOADING OPERATION
OBSERVED ON PHOTOGRAPHY IN THIS AREA SINCE BOMBING OF THE MAJOR
NORTH VIETNAMESE POL STORAGE FACILITIES BEGAN.
