 Arrive at Bonneville Dam, built in the 1930's and operated
by the Corps of Engineers to generate electricity for the
Bonneville Power Administration. This stop features an
information center, tours of the interior of the dam,
(including window for viewing fish climbing the fish
ladder), and nearby Federally-owned hatchery that
features nine-foot-long sturgeon in display tanks. The
tourist area is well marked.
Depart Bonneville Dam for Portland, via the Multnomah
Falls to Troutdale scenic route (beautiful views of river,
waterfalls, etc.) .
Arrive at Benson Hotel, Portland.
