Approved For R ease 2000/09/0 ~-,cJA-RpP79-00798AV0700060044-7 1973 MEMORANDUM FOR: Chairman, Interagency Intelligence Advisory Group on Exchanges SUBJECT: Proposed Exchanges Under the US-USSR Environmental Cooperation Agreement 1. The 14 proposed exchanges disseminated for comment by the Council on Environmental Quality (CEQ) indicate little potential for US technological gain. But they do open a possible market for the sale of US technology to the USSR. The few areas where the US could most likely gain some tech- nology are cloud physics, micrometeorology as it relates to air pollution, permafrost and tundra studies, and wildlife conservation. 2. It appears that the CEQ could use some help in arranging these exchanges to the maximum possible benefit ence lli t i g n e of the US. OSI will be glad to provide any Executive Officer Scientific Intelligence Approved For Release 2000/09/06 : CIA-RDP79-00798A000700060044-7
