The March meeting of the Joint US-USSR
S & T Commission decided to establish
a Joint working group in Forestry
to develop proposals for cooperative
pro gratis in forestry.
The attached correspondence from John
McGuire of the US Forestry Service
proposes areas of cooperation which will
be discussed with the Soviets in late
August.
