I believe you and your colleagues have reason to be proud of the constructive fashion in which your program is proceeding. It seems to me that both the Air Force and the members of your own command profit equally from this new approach. FOR THE DIRECTOR OF CENTRAL INTELLIGENCE: - Aa 1:. :L AvLa1r11.Fii . Colonel Command Air Force Intelligence Service Reserve 2. More specifically, SUBJECT Summary Report on Unit Activities During FY-1976 1. Sir, this memorandum responds to your request that you be kept advised of the nature and scope of activities engaged in by CIA Air Force reservists attached for training to the Directorate Intelligence Reserve Forces of the Air Force (AFIS/RE). In brief, our efforts thus far appear to have been most successful and rewarding to our CIA personnel, to the Air Force and to the Defense Intel- ligence Agency. Since then, and at any given time, some 59 officers an geant (all CIA employees) have been assigned 25X1A to I I, making it the largest of the 39 reserve units attached to AFIS/RE. 25X1A 3. II has almost completed its first train- ing year. A personnel have met the mandatory re- quirement to attend six training weekends and all have either completed the annual requirement to per- form a 2-week active duty tour or are scheduled for such a tour. Additional training weekends have been scheduled for July and September to enable a smooth transition into the new fiscal year schedule. The new fiscal year training cycle itself is scheduled to begin with a training weekend in October. CLASSIFIED By - 0- EXF.. i1FT FRO GENERAL a DECLASSIFICATION SCM l)ULE GF E.
