SUBJECT.' Department of Justice Investigation of Testimony.
Regarding ITT/Chile
1. In connection with the subject investigation, Mr. G, Allen Carver
of the Criminal Division, Department of Justice, has provided-this Office
with a list dated 19 March 1976 o.f additional persons he would like to
interview. All persons on the list are considered only as potential
witnesses by DOJ. Accordingly, there is no reason for the DOJ attorneys
to advise thane listed of their rights (Miranda warnings) and DOJ does not
plan to do so.
2. It is requested that you provide this Office with the following
information:
a. Current employees within your Directorate:
(1) Location -- i . e . , Headquarters , overseas ,
outside D . C , area
(2} Wliether? overt or xxnder cover
(3) If overseas, any problems expected in return
to Headquarters for intervie~,v within
the next month .
b . Former employees of your Directorate:
(1) Address and phone number
(2) If retired, whether overt or under cover

3, tinder the procedures presently in effect, an attox?riey from
this Office will be available to accompany present employees at the
interviews as the Agency's representative. An offer will be extended
to accompany former employees , if they wish . However,. we have been
advised that DOJ will seek a revision of the procedures to provide that the
Agency representative cannot actually be present during the interview.
4. This Office will contact the former employees and advise
them of the purpose of the DOJ interview and of the availability of an
Agency (OGC) representative . It is requested that you so advise the

of various matters involving present and former Central
Intelligence Agency officers and employees, please assist
us with scheduling interviews with the following individuals:

views. Presently employed Agency personnel will be interviewed
in the Federal Triangle Building, 315 9th Str_eet,.N.W.,
Washington, D. C., unless it is essential to conduct a ,particular
