1. The Acting Chairman called the meeting to order at 0906 hours.
2. Discussion on the agenda followed;
stated that he will not go forward with
the promotion recommendation for from
GS-12 to GS-13 at this time.
b. The promotion recommendation for /RP/ORD
from GS-10 to GS-11 will be submitted for consideration
in December.
3. The following additions to the agenda were made:
a. Request for ORD nominees for Foreign Service Economic
Studies Program.
b. Request for ORD nominees for Program for Executives,
Carnegie-Mellon University.

Career Service Panel meeting on 5 October 1970 because a quorum was not

care of minor items of business. There was no official business conducted
at that time.

9. There were no ORD nominees for the following:

b. The Management Development Seminar, University of
Chicago, 1971
c. Foreign Service Economic Studies Program
d. Program for Executives, Carnegie-Mellon University

one job for the Panel should be to define a career development program
for ORD personnel. The Panel should ascertain whether there is a
25X1A9a career development program or not --if not, try to develop one.

25X1A9a CSP should consider the future of ORD professionals with respect to the
office, directorate and Agency; training, he felt, was only part of it.

ing his last CSP meeting, and extended to the sincere
appreciation of the Panel for the contribution he has made since its
formation in March 1964.

CSP members should take a look at the attendance record of the CSP
meetings.

represented at the next CSP meeting.

to ORD employees, in draft form, to CSP members in order that they might
prepare their comments for the next meeting in December.

at the CSP meeting in December.
